Hard Knocks Fighting Championship is Calgary’s number one Mixed Martial Arts promotion. HKFC is the place where MMA athletes from around Western Canada meet to prove they’re the best. Athletes come from various backgrounds to compete in the Hard Knocks Hexagon, including Muay Thai, Brazilian and Japanese Jiu jitsu, and wrestling.

HKFC events are hosted at the Century Casino & Convention Centre in Calgary, Alberta. The Convention Centre seats over 1100 fans and is the loudest and most exciting MMA venue in the Calgary area. Ticket prices for HKFC events range from $35 to $150.

HKFC is the only organization founded by elite athletes for the purpose of showcasing elite athletes.

The CEO of Hard Knocks Fighting Championship is 2008 Beijing Olympian Ari Taub. In addition to being a multi-time national champion wrestler, Ari also runs a successful law practice in Calgary.

The President of HKFC is former University of Calgary wrestling team captain Beamer Comfort.  After retiring from active competition in 2007, Beamer began applying his wrestling knowledge to MMA by coaching wrestling techniques to use in the cage.

The Hard Knocks team has a unique combination of business savvy and connection to the sport. Both Ari and Beamer are regularly invited to MMA clubs around Western Canada to conduct wrestling clinics for fighters. This unique skill set in both business and sport ensures quality action in the cage and the best experience for fans and sponsors outside the cage.
